The logs are not sealed or varnished in any way- so **ALWAYS USE A FOOD-GRADE CAKE BOARD UNDER THE CAKE 'NEVER' PLACE THE CAKE DIRECTLY ON THE WOOD SURFACE. OR THE CAKE WILL STAIN THE WOOD.
About the product- These are not paint or varnish treated, however they are natural kiln dried.
Natural Products- bark is pinned in place which is nessecary to stop the bark falling off as once a Tree is cut and dried t it sheds its bark naturally
The stand is made from genuine natural wood, and the engraving is applied directly onto the naturally ringed surface. Natural variations in the wood grain, density and growth rings mean that some parts of the engraving will appear lighter or darker than others. This is an expected characteristic of engraved natural wood and does not indicate poor workmanship.

Our log slices are made from 100% real, natural wood. They are kiln dried but are not painted, stained, or chemically treated, preserving their authentic rustic appearance.

These are natural characteristics of real wood and are not considered defects.
Where possible, we will carefully position your engraving away from natural splits, knots and filler repairs to ensure the best possible appearance. However, due to the unique nature of each log slice, this may not always be possible.
Due to the type of wood used, these slices may have a small natural hole near the centre, repairs in cracks/ splits that natural occur. This is a natural feature of the wood not a flaw.
As these are a natural product we will not offer refunds or replacements for slices that are not round, have missing bark or are not the same size or shape as the images or other log pieces .
If you receive a slice and it does not meet your requirements, you are welcome to return it to us for a refund as per our returns policy , only if it is not personalised.
