The logs are not sealed or varnished in any way- so **ALWAYS USE A FOOD-GRADE CAKE BOARD UNDER THE CAKE 'NEVER' PLACE THE CAKE DIRECTLY ON THE WOOD SURFACE. OR THE CAKE WILL STAIN THE WOOD.
About the product- These are not paint or varnish treated, however they are natural kiln dried.
Natural Products- bark is pinned in place which is needed to stop the bark falling off as once a Tree is cut and dried t it sheds its bark naturally
